Job Overview

Our client is looking to offer a pathway to a skilled welding career, providing hands-on experience and training while earning a salary. We are therefore seeking a someone who can join their dynamic team immediately. The ideal candidate will possess a some mechanical knowledge as well as a solid understanding of basic mathematics for precise measurements and calculations.

The Role

As a Welder Apprentice, you will:

✅ Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.

✅ Perform TIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.

✅ Utilise sheet metal techniques for the production of parts and assemblies.

✅ Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete fabrication tasks.

✅ Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.

✅ Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

✅ Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication challenges.

✅ Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during the fabrication process.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools relevant to welding tasks.
  • Basic math’s skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • A commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks undertaken.
  • Some experience in welding is highly desirable.
  • Must have a current and valid driving licence
  • Able to start immediately

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
