Principal purpose or objective of the job
To process approved drawings through the Layout and produce detailed manufacturing drawings for
CNC Punching, Brake Press & Welding Assembly processes for factory manufacturing.
Main duties/key tasks/key result areas
• To draw the component sheet metal parts required to assemble the product.
• To efficiently programme & nest the parts for punching to utilise the least amount of
material required.
• To utilise the provided software packages to achieve this process.
• To ensure all input information is correct to enable the following folding & assembly
processes to be completed successfully.
• To work with R&D on continuous improvement projects and to provide support in
developing new products.

Candidate Profile
• Understands and can read drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCad.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of CNC punch programming.
• Knowledge of the Brake Press process.
• Good in communicating issues to other departments.
• Ability to learn and efficiently use new software packages for the Layout & CNC processes.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Desirable: Experience operating / programming CNC Punch Machine.
  • Previous experience working with SolidWorks and 3D modelling
  • Previous Manufacturing Experience within the sheet metal work environment.
  • A background and knowledge of commercial kitchen ventilation desirable.
  • IT Literate

Remuneration
Salary: Dependant on experience
