Job Summary


Our client is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves the assembly and fabrication of metal components using various welding methods, primarily TIG welding, and requires proficiency in using both power and hand tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
  • Perform TIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
  • Utilise sheet metal techniques for the production of parts and assemblies.
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete fabrication tasks.
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication challenges.
  • Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during the fabrication process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with a focus on TIG welding techniques.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in working with sheet metal and assembling various components.
  • Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools relevant to welding tasks.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • A commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks undertaken.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.23-£17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 – 55 per week
