The ideal candidate will possess a some mechanical knowledge as well as a solid understanding of basic mathematics for precise measurements and calculations.
The Role
As a Welder Apprentice, you will:
✅ Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
✅ Perform TIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
✅ Utilise sheet metal techniques for the production of parts and assemblies.
✅ Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete fabrication tasks.
✅ Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
✅ Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
✅ Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication challenges.
✅ Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during the fabrication process.

Requirements
- Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools relevant to welding tasks.
- Basic math’s skills for accurate measurements and calculations.

- Some experience in welding is highly desirable.
- Must have a current and valid driving licence

Principal purpose or objective of the job
To process approved drawings through the Layout and produce detailed manufacturing drawings for
CNC Punching, Brake Press & Welding Assembly processes for factory manufacturing.
Main duties/key tasks/key result areas
• To draw the component sheet metal parts required to assemble the product.
• To efficiently programme & nest the parts for punching to utilise the least amount of
material required.
• To utilise the provided software packages to achieve this process.
• To ensure all input information is correct to enable the following folding & assembly
processes to be completed successfully.
• To work with R&D on continuous improvement projects and to provide support in
developing new products.
Candidate Profile
• Understands and can read drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCad.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of CNC punch programming.
• Knowledge of the Brake Press process.
• Good in communicating issues to other departments.
• Ability to learn and efficiently use new software packages for the Layout & CNC processes.
Experience/Qualifications
- Desirable: Experience operating / programming CNC Punch Machine.
- Previous experience working with SolidWorks and 3D modelling
- Previous Manufacturing Experience within the sheet metal work environment.
- A background and knowledge of commercial kitchen ventilation desirable.
- IT Literate

Principal purpose or objective of the job
Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of health, safety, quality and environment. To monitor and research new health and safety legislation and best practice, giving guidance on implementation and compliance.
Main duties/key tasks/key result areas
- Auditing production, monitoring any unsafe behaviour or breaks in regulations
- Inspecting production equipment and processes to make sure they are safe
- Focusing on prevention by ensuring equipment maintenance and employee training is up to date
- Creating and implementing training plans
- Assessing risk and possible safety hazards of all aspects of operations
- Creating safety plans that include suggested improvements to existing infrastructure and business processes
- Sharing information, suggestions, and observations with Management to create consistency in safety standards throughout
- Meeting company health and safety goals
- To manage a H&S Committee and organise bi-annual meetings
- Conduct new starter health and safety inductions
- Support and issue operator and maintenance manuals
- Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety legislation and any developments that affect the industry
- Prepare health safety strategies and develop internal policy
- Manging accident report records, investigating causes of accidents, near misses and other unsafe conditions where required and finding the best way to prevent future accidents
- Maintaining ISO14001, ISO9001 and HSE documentation for audits both internal and external
- Produce Method Statement and Risk Assessment for site installations.
- Maintaining RIDDOR records and KPI’s
- Ensuring all first aid equipment is kept safe and up to date
- Maintaining fire drill and PAT testing records
- Managing maintenance contracts for equipment with legislative safety requirements
Candidate Profile
Excellent written and communication skills in order to explain health and safety processes to stakeholders. A highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in health and safety regulations. Extensive knowledge of HSE standards, risk management, and compliance. An excellent eye for detail to identify and prevent potential hazards.
Experience/Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor
- Previous engineering/technical experience

- NEBOSH /IOSH certified
- IT Literate (Outlook, Work, Excel)
